Family Consent & Information Release

Your family's trust matters to us. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect about your student, how we use it, and — most importantly — how you stay in control of who ever sees it.
What we collect
Only what we need to help your student. That may include:
- Your name, email, phone, and city, and your student's first name and grade
- Answers your student gives in optional tools like the Career Path Questionnaire
- Notes and materials created while we work together (planning worksheets, drafts, and similar)
How we use it
To deliver your curriculum, offer guidance from a licensed school counselor, reply to you, and prepare your EFA invoice through ClassWallet. That's it. We do not sell or rent your family's information to anyone, ever.
Sharing with colleges & other institutions
Our promise: we do not share your student's information with any college, university, scholarship program, or other outside institution unless you give us permission in writing, for that specific purpose. If you ever ask us to help — for example, sending a transcript, supporting an application, or providing information to a college — we'll only share exactly what that task requires, and only after you've said yes. You can change your mind and withdraw permission at any time.
Letters of recommendation
If you ask Amber to write a letter of recommendation, your student may be asked to sign a short waiver first — this is standard practice and simply confirms the letter may be sent to the colleges or programs you choose.
Your student's information & your rights
Our services support students, but a parent or guardian makes the decisions here. You may ask us at any time to review, correct, or delete the information we hold about your family, or to withdraw a permission you previously gave. Just email us.
Your choices
Giving permission to share information with colleges is entirely optional — your student's curriculum and support never depend on it. You can enroll, use everything we offer, and keep your student's information entirely private.
Consent & signature
You can affirm this simply by checking the box on our online enrollment form. If you'd prefer a signed paper copy for your records, print this page and complete the section below.
Required. I am the parent or legal guardian of the student named below. I have read and I agree to this Family Consent & Information Release and the Bright Pathway Privacy Policy.
Optional. I authorize Bright Pathway to share my student's information with colleges, universities, or scholarship programs when it helps their applications, as described above. I understand I can withdraw this permission at any time.
